AIMS has been specified in accordance with the Migration Regulations 1994 as the assessing authority for people seeking to migrate to Australia for the occupations listed below.

All potential applicants are advised to read the guidelines thoroughly/carefully before completing the occupation specific application form.

Note: The English Language Test requirements have been updated to remove the required scores for each test from the Guidelines and Application Forms as of 12 March 2026 - refer to the Department of Home Affairs website for this information.  Please refer to the relevant AIMS guidelines for the specific English Language Tests accepted by AIMS.

NOTE: We aim to complete all assessments within 16 weeks of their receipt, however the verification of documents may take up to 6 months. We endeavour to process assessments as quickly as possible.

Please note that AIMS does not accept English test results that include a One Skill Retake component. All four components of the English test — Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking — must be completed in one sitting, and the required scores must be achieved within the same test result

Amending Your Original Application

After the assessment of professional skills and qualifications has been conducted and finalised, some applicants may wish to add further documentation, qualifications and/or work experience which was not provided in the original assessment.

All fees are in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Please note: Assessment fees are non-refundable once application processing has commenced. Applications remaining incomplete for more than 12 months may be withdrawn and closed by AIMS.
