Recognising Excellence – 2026 AIMS Merit Awards Now Open

 

The Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists (AIMS) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 AIMS Merit Awards.

The Merit Awards recognise individuals who have made a significant and sustained contribution to AIMS and to the advancement of medical science. These awards provide an important opportunity to acknowledge the dedication, expertise, and leadership demonstrated by members across the profession.

Across Branches, Divisions, and at a national level, AIMS members play a vital role in supporting and strengthening the profession. Many of these contributions take place behind the scenes—through leadership, education, mentorship, and ongoing commitment—and have a lasting impact on both the organisation and the broader medical laboratory science community.

The Merit Award allows us to formally recognise and celebrate those members whose service has made a meaningful difference over time.

We encourage you to take a moment to reflect on colleagues who have contributed to AIMS and the profession, and to consider submitting a nomination.
